Author K Nycole Lee Thank you for joining us this lovely evening, Author AJ Adwen. Can you tell us a bit about your hometown and upbringing?
Jenna N. Waller hi again. Who is your favorite character in any book series you read or written?
Author AJ Adwen Sure, Author K Nycole Lee! I was born and raised in Medford, Oregon. It's a town situated in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. Part of my life was spent on a farm and my later teen years were in the city. I have ridden horses all of my life, and I also enjoyed (enjoy) archery and writing/playing music! I have an amazing family. I really had a blessed upbringing.

Author AJ Adwen Micah Flood, it feels amazing!! I always wondered if I would see this dream come true, and it finally has!!

Author AJ Adwen Well, the book I first remember really impacting my life was The Hero of Lesser Causes by Julie Johntson. I read it in the 4th grade. It's still one of my favorites! But I have too many favorites to name!

Author AJ Adwen I have learned that I am capable of reaching deeper into my heart than I imagined.

Author AJ Adwen I have a couple I am working
on! I just finished The Choice, a YA Contemporary.
Next I will be co-writing a book called The Man That
Never Was. After that, I'll finish up my trilogy with
Ophir's Redemption!

Author AJ Adwen Thank you, Author K Nycole Lee! I don't know how much of me is prolific and how much of me is crazy.

Jenna, yes! My entire life.

Brandy, it hasn't yet! But it will in the future.

Allison was born and raised in the mountains of Oregon, birthed of the crisp, clean air and rainy forests. She now resides in Oklahoma City, though she is still thoroughly attached to her home and finds much inspiration for her stories whenever she has a chance to return. As the spouse of a police officer and a full-time photographer, she is on her toes 24/7. In 2013, she was a recipient of the Oklahoma Next Generation award: an award given to thirty individuals under the age of thirty in the state who have proven to be innovative and inspiring leaders in the arts, entertainment, business, media, and other areas of impact.

Often told that she has her head in the clouds, she couldn’t deny it even if she wanted to. Allison began dreaming up stories long before she was old enough to write them. She enjoys a variety of genres, including YA, romance, historical romance, fantasy, dystopian, and anything else that hooks her interest. She prefers to write books that tell gripping love stories in heart-wrenching, real, inspiring ways. Her stories are deep and raw, taking the reader into a world that is richly intricate. Readers often say that they are swept away and left reeling when they have finished the last page.
