Talia Vasilakas was on top of the fashion world. The supermodel had successfully made the transition from clothes horse to designer, and her Tattered by Talia brand was the talk of the catwalks. The sudden death of her younger brother sends her reeling into a world of mystery and intrigue, setting off a sequence of events that will change her life forever. She enlists the help of former CIA consultant and engineer, Carlton Barr, to help investigate the circumstances of her brother's death. Her attraction to him cannot be denied, but his own personal demons build a wall between them. The friction between them lights a spark that turns into a raging fire.

Paula Knight was born in Glen Dale, West Virginia and, although she has lived in several major cities, she has returned to the simplicity of home. She has always been involved with animals and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Equestrian Science in 1981. You will see some sort of critter in nearly all of her works. After going through some major life crises, including a bout with breast cancer, she pursued a nursing degree and has spent most of her adult life as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Geriatric and Alzheimer's patients. She wrote her first novel, UNTIL I SEE YOU, at the age of fifty and has been hooked on writing ever since. Her first four books are of the romance genre, but she has ventured into romantic mysteries recently and is currently working on a series of that theme. The birth of her first grandchild has encouraged her to explore children's books as well. In her spare time she enjoys showing her AKC registered dogs, which she has been doing for over 30 years. Her other passion is travel and she has been fortunate to enough to see a great deal of the world. Her favorite locations include Nova Scotia, Scotland and Ireland as well as Great Britain, and utilizes them in her work.
